Here's a link to the recording of the opening session of ELUNA 2022. Just click the login button to view the recording.
The interesting parts to me start at 14 minutes (discussion of total market spend on library platforms and scholarly content) and at 126 minutes (discussion of comparative lifecycles different technology platforms within academic institutions).
The entire keynote from the Executive Director of NISO is a pretty good listen.
In preparation for my pending departure from WACTCLC, please locally discuss, review and update as necessary the following Google spreadsheet of Alma / Primo staff contacts at your institution.
This information will be important to you as cooperating institutions, and for any new consortium staff.
Please be sure to review and update each of the tabs in the spreadsheet.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AIafhzKKd3WRSj_ubeGBXem1gZxvumXVUYu_Ul3lIFA/edit?usp=sharing
Please review and update this info by the end of May. I will post and share the updated rosters on the consortium web site.
Related to the upcoming departure of the library consortium manager in June, a discussion of consortium continuity concerns included the following items of note:
Dan Moore of Edmonds noted these concerns and will share them with the WACTCLC governance committee.
From Ryer Banta (he/him) to Everyone 10:01 AM
morning everyone
From Lily Kun | SPSCC to Everyone 10:02 AM
Good morning!
From Ryer Banta (he/him) to Everyone 10:03 AM
We should definitely figure out a way to keep regular calls going.
From Victoria Solheim - Pierce College to Everyone 10:03 AM
I would appreciate a regular call. Especially with Lesley gone.

From Laura Staley to Everyone 10:07 AM
Abby, I'd be up for that.
From Ryer Banta (he/him) to Everyone 10:07 AM
Wade, do you have a hand-off plan with your documentation websites?
From Dan Moore to Everyone 10:08 AM
I'm off contract this summer, so I won't be participating in the summer calls, but I believe the community can keep the meetings open and going with a standing invite.
From Melinda Martin to Everyone 10:09 AM
My schedule is project-based in the summer, so my days will be inconsistent. However, I would participate and certainly be available to contribute!
From Ryer Banta (he/him) to Everyone 10:09 AM
Sounds good.
From Melinda Martin to Everyone 10:09 AM
Thank you, Wade!
From Kirsti Thomas (Seattle Colleges) to Everyone 10:10 AM
RE: Ryer's question: I was just wondering. We have a Zoom subscription at out institution & I have one of the accounts that allows hosting of unlimited meetings. I can be one of the meeting hosts but someone will need access to the WACTCLC site to post meeting recordings and meeting notes.
From Victoria Solheim - Pierce College to Everyone 10:12 AM
I didn't realize that was a thing. We shouldn't ever delete Lesley's account because of any and all of the things she created in Alma?
From abby koehler (she/her) to Everyone 10:14 AM
Getting the calls scheduled and hosted, recording and posting minutes and recordings, maintaining the listserv (with the gmail account??)
From Ryer Banta (he/him) to Everyone 10:15 AM
That's great @Dan. These are all manageable issues, but little things that could slip through the cracks or have an awkward gap.
From Kirsti Thomas (Seattle Colleges) to Everyone 10:15 AM
@Victoria: What type of things on what platforms?
From Victoria Solheim - Pierce College to Everyone 10:18 AM
Alma jobs or dashboards.
From Lily Kun | SPSCC to Everyone 10:20 AM
@Dan: Another thing to add to the list is the consortium membership to ELUNA.
From abby koehler (she/her) to Everyone 10:20 AM
someone who can poke into our system?
From Kirsti Thomas (Seattle Colleges) to Everyone 10:21 AM
@Victoria: Anything in Alma Analytics that's saved under the Shared folder for your institution will be ok. Even if Lesley created it, the files "belong" to everyone with Alma Analytics permissions.
From Elena Bianco to Everyone 10:23 AM
Maintaining/updating the IPEDS Analytics report that Wade created? It’s beyond some of our ability to update, especially since the requirements/criteria seem to slightly change every year.
From Kirsti Thomas (Seattle Colleges) to Everyone 10:25 AM
Scheduled jobs in Alma aren't tied to individual user accounts, so you should be good there. The main thing to look out for are shared Word documents and Excel preadsheets if you're an Office365 campus. These may be tied to an individual network account that everyone loses access to if the individual leaves.
From Ryer Banta (he/him) to Everyone 10:30 AM
Ding ding ding. @Kirsti is very spot on with this
From Nicole Longpre to Everyone 10:30 AM
Thanks Kirsti
