For those institutions still on the older HP systems, remember to have the expiration dates updated in on your HP systems, and to update the current quarter for the student loads to Fall 2021, which is "C122."
Kirsti Thomas, Seattle Colleges, has shared additional info on the WSL contract Gale collections, which has been added to our Gale WSL page on the consortium web site: Gale WSL Contract and Alma CZ Activations - Documentation - LibGuides at Big Bend Community College
Alma Oct 2021 Release, coming to our environments on Oct 3, includes a couple of potentially useful features, including:
1. The ability to add cc: email addresses to patron records
2. The ability to adjust FRBR and Dedup calculations on bib records (caution is advised if you are interested in diving into this one)
Details on these and other additions of possible interest can be found in the release notes.
I will have a busy fall, working with the DG5 institutions on their patron record integrations, in the largest of the ctcLink deployment groups.

Quicky FYI Wade-- We're have a small number of ctcLink patron records (just over 100) coming in with no expiration or purge dates. I think these are students with incompletes (we're trying to automatically include students with incompletes so they're able to use library resources while completing their course work). I'm working with my IT person to figure out how we need to tweak the ctcLink queries and scripts to make sure the user records always have expiration and purge dates.

Jennifer, we've seen this too with our ABD/ESL students

When we switched to ctcLink, we started loading students who had registered for any credit-bearing course. We now think we'll have to include some kind of criteria to filter for students who've registered *and* paid [something], because we're running into situations where students register and then drop their registration but their expiration date in Alma doesn't get updated when they drop their registration.

Interesting, Kirsti

We had a case where someone registered for classes, checked out a Chromebook, dropped their registration, and then never brought the Chromebooks back.

That is exciting!
I wish the ISBN would show up

Agreed. We did the same, Amy. Only added major ones to A-ZList

I'll email Hilary at Gale again and ask for clarification re: Gale OneFile
From Amy Herman to Everyone: 11:02 AM
I only activated ones that are college appropriate in our A-Z list. I figured we can put the lower level collections in our guides for programs that use lower lexiles, reading level, etc. We did same for our bit EBSCO package.
