Why Zotero?

With Zotero, cut down on the time it takes to collect your research, create citations, and create your References or Works Cited page! Once installed, collect your sources and have them in a manageable list instantaneously.  Then create your bibiography and paste it into your Word document in seconds!

Installing Zotero

Install Zotero

  1. Go to Zotero.org
  2. Select Download for Windows or Mac.
  3. Install Zotero Connector (it’s a browser extension).  You do not need to create an account or sync Zotero to use it.  But you can if you prefer.  If you switch computers you can either Sync to other devices, or Export your Library as a Zotero RDF and import it into a different computer.

Add sources to Zotero Library

  1. Go to your Browser Extensions (This one is Chrome Browser).

Chrome extensions arrow

    1. For an article it’s a gray paper
