Using Canvas at BBCC - for faculty

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act

  • On April 24, 2024, the Federal Register published the Department of Justice’s final rule updating its regulations for Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), regarding how to ensure that web content and mobile apps are accessible to people with disabilities in all “public places of accommodation.”​

  • In the education world, this includes:​

  • Public schools​

  • Community colleges​

  • Public universities

What does this mean for BBCC?

What is our deadline?

  • Compliance deadlines are determined by the size of the local government’s recorded population, not based on student body size. ​

  • Because our community serves more than 50,000 people, our deadline is​ April 2026

The William C. Bonaudi Library provides quiet study space, a large and growing collection of books, multiple online resources, and other library services.
